Moxie goes to a special school called Schutzhund. At school she learns to be obedient, protect, and track objects. She has a lot of homework so we have to work with her every night to make sure she is successful. Here you see her working for her dinner. She is practicing her sit (sitz) and down (platz) positions. Moxie is then showing self-control by staying in those positions; her reward: dinner.

Comment about something you saw Moxie do well on her homework.

Moxie, by nature, is a smart dog; however, not all German Shepherds have some of her learned skills. Moxie has quite the reputation around the neighborhood as being “the smartest dog ever.” She did not get this way without practice. What would be the consequences if Moxie learned new skills at school, but we did not practice with her at home? How can you be compared to Moxie?
